What is Self-Billing?

Self-Billing is an arrangement between a freelancer and YunoJuno, which allows YunoJuno to create invoices on behalf of a freelancer on the platform using the data a freelancer has shared about their business, as well as the timesheet information they have submitted.

Can I sign up to Self-Billing?

Currently, Self-Billing is only available to freelancers who meet both of the following criteria:

  1. The freelancer is working for a client for which Self-Billing has been enabled

  2. The freelancer is based in a jurisdiction in which we can offer Self-Billing (see below)

If both of these criteria are met, you will be asked to sign a Self-Billing agreement at the point at which you accept the contract.

What benefits does Self-Billing offer for freelancers?

Due to the fact that invoices are generated automatically on a freelancer's behalf, YunoJuno's Self-Billing functionality means that a freelancer no longer has to create and upload an invoice themself.

Instead, once the associated timesheet has been approved by the client, the Self-Billing invoice will be generated and will be available to download within a few minutes.
